More kids are engaging in yoga to help them focus better in school and sleep well at night. However, if you're not ready to enroll your children in New Jersey yoga classes – which feature breathing exercises, poses and stretches that can benefit enthusiasts of all ages – why not consider downloading a new app called Adventures of Super Stretch?

The Star Tribune reports that the tool is available for the iPhone or iPad and features colorful animated characters that teach youngsters how to do yoga. Millions of Americans use the holistic mind-body regimen to relieve stress and discomfort associated with many medical ailments. For example, many people choose to meditate and perform shoulder pain exercises to alleviate symptoms of arthritis.

However, the program is arguably most famous for calming the mind and body, which is just one reason why it may be beneficial for children.

"What I ultimately want to achieve with this app is to give kids, parents and caregivers an easy way to make namaste part of their day," said program creator Jessica Rosenberg, quoted by the news source.

Teaching your kids to engage in yoga on a regular basis can help put them on track for a happy, healthy life.
